Summary (Writing a Literature Review)
In the article "The Literature Review: A Few Tips On Conducting It" Dena Taylor comments on how to write a literature review. The author mostly presents a number of questions which everyone should ask yourself to get a good piece of writing of that type. First, she gives a general explanation what a literature review is and what it must do. It is also mentioned that a well-written literature review demonstrates the writer's skills in information seeking and critical appraisal. Dena Taylor insists on asking yourself questions about these areas of skills, thesis, scope, type and contrary studies while writing. Then, the author moves to the questions about the book or the article the review is based on. These questions are mostly about its author and structure including main problems and theses. Finally, Dena Taylor underlines that literature review should not be confused with describing or summarizing (except writing an annotated bibliography) some work as far as it is a discursive prose.
I've chosen this article because it clearly structured as it is presented in the form of a list if questions.
